FAQs
1. What is a DOT Urine Test?
DOT Urine Drug Test: AMP-Amphetamines (MAMP-Methamphetamine, MDMA-Ecstasy), COC-Cocaine, OPI-Opioids (including heroin, codeine, morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, and hydromorphone), PCP-Phencyclidine, THC-Marijuana. This is the Department of Transportation (DOT) required test. Testing includes confirmation at SAMHSA certified labs. All drug test results reviewed by the medical review officer.
2. What is a Non- DOT" 5 Panel Urine Test?
A "Non- DOT" 5 Panel Urine Test is a drug screening test that is similar in nature to the Department of Transportation (DOT) 5 Panel Urine Test but is typically used by employers or organizations that are not regulated by the DOT. This test is designed to detect the presence of specific drugs or classes of drugs in a person's urine, much like the DOT 5 Panel Urine Test, but it may have variations in terms of substances tested or testing procedures.
Please note all inconclusive or non-negative urine specimens are sent to a SAMHSA-certified lab for confirmational analysis. Our Medical Review Officer, a licensed physician, reviews the results. Negative results take about one business day. To confirm non-negative results takes three to five business days.
3. What is a 10 Panel Urine Test?
A 10 Panel Urine Test is a drug screening test that is more comprehensive than the standard 5 Panel Urine Test. It is designed to detect the presence of a wider range of drugs or classes of drugs in a person's urine. The 10 Panel Urine Test is commonly used in various settings, including employment drug testing, probation and parole programs, healthcare, and athletic organizations, among others.

4. What is On-site Drug Testing?
On-site drug testing happens at the physical job site. This testing consists of two types:
- On-site collections that the company administers because it has staff members trained* as collectors.
- On-site collections conducted by a third-party collector who goes to the location and administers the tests. In this case, the collector might have a mobile operation (such as a van) or he or she may use the company's restroom facility or another room for testing days.
5. How do I balance cost and convenience?
The convenience factor can be significant, particularly considering people's tendency to procrastinate. Moreover, conducting collections onsite can accelerate the overall process by eliminating the human delay of 'I'll get around to it someday.'
While having a collector visit your site may incur additional expenses, the convenience and reduction in time-to-hire can potentially outweigh these costs. For instance, in the case of pre-employment drug testing with recurring recruiting events every two weeks, having the collector present during these events can streamline the hiring process. The collector's consistent presence is likely to offset the extra expenditures.
